Going Private!

Hey everyone! So without the consent of my wife I have decided that we need to make our blog private. I may get in trouble but I think it is a good idea especially because we have pictures of our beautiful new daughter here on the blog and you never know who might be 'blog browsing'. Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up so that you can give me your email address before I make the change. You can email it to me, facebook me or just leave the address as a comment on this post. Thanks!

Two Weeks Already!?

Can you believe it has been two weeks!? It has been the greatest two weeks! I still can't believe I am a MOM!!
Well we have had an eventful two weeks that's for sure! We got home last Tuesday, and it still feels like I'm playing house!
We went to Brooke and Matt's wedding that next Saturday! It was way fun! I am way glad that I got to go to her wedding, and Kennedy was a trooper and went to everything with me! It was way fun to see friends from high school!
We also went to Brayden's 3rd birthday party, and Kennedy got to go with me to teach a class at the beauty school, went and visited my old work, and last night went to Andrew's baseball game!

Yesterday we also went to her 2 week Dr. apt, and she had gained 17 oz and grew an inch and a quarter!
That puts her at a whopping 6 lbs 9oz and 20 3/4 inches long! She is a growing champ!
But the most exciting news!
We have noticed that she seems to always roll to her side when she sleeps,(and she is so stinking cute!) So yesterday after her dr. apt I layed her on her tummy before I fed her and she started kicking and squirming and ROLLED OVER!!! I couldn't beleive it! So I put her back on her stomach and she kicked and squirmed and yet again she rolled over! So after that I had to have proof to show Andrew, so I got it on film!! here it is!

She was good and did it again for Andrew when he came home!!
She is sooo cute! I love her to death! It is amazing the automatic bond, and love you feel for your baby! She is a great baby!.. and she is MINE!! I love being a MOM!!

KENNEDY EVELYN WEBER IS HERE!!!

Kennedy Evelyn Weber

Yes! as you probably saw she is here! She is sooo small and cute! She is Daddy's little girl! She looks so much like him! She's so freakin cute! oh man! Well here is the wonderful birth story....
So I was due on Saturday and all week I was hoping to go into labor, so I walked to my Dr. Apt, then walked 4 miles one afternoon, biked to Andrew's work one day... nothing.... no painful or consistant contractions. So on Saturday we wanted to get out of the house, do something besides just sit around, so we went up to Park City and walked around Main Street, saw some pretty sweet Mustangs, and went to lunch. Well in the middle of lunch at the Windy Ridge Cafe I started to get super sharp pains in my pelvis, like I couldn't move at all it was not very delightful.. I knew they weren't contractions, they were just constant pains. So after lunch we decided to go home and take a nap and see if they would go away, and they did! But right after came contractions! I was so excited so from 8:18pm I had contractions every 5 min till about 1:30, We had been over at my sister Haley's house playing games, and so when we got home the contractions were about every 3 min for a good another hour so we decided to go to the hospital...

So this is me right before... yay!
Anyway, we got there at 2:30am and she checked me in, I was dilated to a 2, and 70% effaced, anyway, they monotored me for an hour and I stayed the same, but my contractions were getting more intense and staying very consistant, so they gave me morphine and said to go home and try to sleep for a few hours and then come back in if my contractions stay the same. So.... we went home, around 4am and I was all loopy but couldn't sleep they contractions got stronger and very painful..so at around 7:o0 we went back in... I was a 5 and 100% effaced! Crazy! So they called the guy to come give me an epiderial and then I loved my life! Yay! So at about 9:45 they came and checked me again, I was at a 10! Wahoo! So they call the Dr. and the pushing beginings... Right? WRONG!!

So my Dr. is out of town... so they called the Dr. on call, well he says he will be over to the hospital in about an hour.. weird.. so here I am fully dialated and ready to go.. and we are waiting for the Dr. so we played a little cards to pass time and such....
So around 11:45 the Dr was here! Yay so he sent the nurse in to do practice pushes with me.. We did about 5 pushes Andrew saw the head everything looked good to go so the nurse went to get the Dr. Wahoo! we are going to have the baby!... Right? WRONG!!

Turns out he had to go to he Timpanogas Hospital to do another delivery.. Weird... hmmm.. so guess what.. we wait again!!! So here I am legs open, the nurse just draps me and says "It'll be good and let the baby decend on her own..."

yeah.... so at about 1:10pm the Dr. pulled up. We saw him from the window and all cheered! Once he got in and ready, 2 pushes she was out! Thank goodness for the epideral! Loved it!

Born at 1:28pm August 16, 2009. 5lbs 15oz. and 19 1/2in long.
So little! and oh so cute! Remember how she's mine!?! Yeah.. I remember that! :) I can't even describe how amazing it is to see your own child.

So, here is Andrew with Dr Young, who we waited for ALL DAY LONG! But he was actually really nice and we liked him.. once he was there :)

Well it has been amazing! She is a WONDERFUL baby! She really is perfect! I can't get over it! So yes.. we waited for a very very long time, and we were really sad we didn't have our regular Dr that we really really liked, but in the end it was all worth it!
YAY this is our family! Crazy! OH ha ha I had to put this picture up to show how small she is, and how cute she is when she yawns.. she looks just like Andrew.. especially when she yawns..:)

Baby Kennedy!

So I just want to post some pictures of our beautiful new baby girl for everyone to see. If Sophie wants to tell the whole story about her labor and everything else then she can get on and make another post. :)

Kennedy Evelyn Weber (Given the middle name after her Grandma) was born on August 16th at 1:28PM weighing in at a whopping 5lbs 15oz and 19.5 inches long. Let's just say she got some of her Dad's genes. Looong and skinny! She is one beautiful baby girl. I might just be biased but I really did think she looked cute right out of the womb. Maybe a little alien like :) but very very cute. Both Sophie and I were basket-cases. I have a daughter!

Now I'll just post some of the pictures we have taken. One is of her first bath. We have some pictures from when Uncle Michael and his family came to see her. We have had a lot of visitors and I'm sorry we haven't taken more photos of everyone with Kennedy. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Weber, Landon and Stefani, Michael and Kara and fam, Megan and the kids, Dad, a bunch of Sophie's friends and everyone from Sophie's family for coming and seeing the baby. Some have even come multiple times and we are grateful for the visits. Little Kennedy is also very excited to meet her Grandma Weber when she comes back from Minnesota as well. Anyway, here are those pictures I promised :)

WARNING: Disturbing Images

So I thought I would make a post about this last week that includes some graphic images before Sophie gives birth to our baby girl which will obviously include some very cute images. Graphic before cute, right? Let me say first that last week was awesome! We spent the week at Snowbird like we do each year with Sophie's family and we had a blast. A zip line, alpine slide, tram to the top of the mountain, pools and hottubs, mountain bike trails (my favorite part :) ), great food, bunjee trampolines, rock climbing walls, staying up late playing games, and just an all around great time. We even held the inaugural Andrew Weber Memorial Triathlon (I'll explain the name later).

So you all know what an alpine slide is right? Well here is a video of Snowbird's actual slide.

So two of the six days that we were there we had 'all-day passes' which enabled you to do pretty much anything you wanted to on the mountain. Thursday was the second day that we had these fun passes and I decided to go out and ride the slide first thing in the morning. A couple days before I had ridden it with a couple of my nephews but this day was different. I was riding it by myself and I would be able to ride it as fast as I wanted. I got a push start and got going. About half way through I realized that I was going pretty dang fast. Towards the bottom I rounded a left hand turn and the awesome momentum that I had generated managed to push me right off my sled. You can see in the video that there are two slides. I was in the left. I slid along the side of the slide and bounced into the middle. Skidding and tumbling through the grass and dirt I managed to bounce right into the opposite slide. After I came to a stop about 30 feet further down the track I jumped up and for a moment thought that I had made it through the ordeal unharmed. My ankle hurt a little but I could move it and I felt alright. Very quickly however I realized that I felt like passing out and my ankle started to throb. I layed down in the dirt next to the slide until my brother-in-law and father-in-law came to help me hobble over to a bench. My favorite comment of the day came from one of the Snowbird employees that had seen the crash from the ski lift right above me. "I don't mean to make light of the situation," he said, "but that was a 10!

So some medics came to check me out and we pretty much decided that I had only sprained my ankle. They gave me a leg brace and I thought I would be alright. I ended up taking twelve 200 milligram Ibuprofin that afternoon/night and I got about 3 hours of sleep. My ankle swelled up and became pretty painful (12 pills?). It even started to bruise. I'll post some pictures now of my ankle so you can see the swelling and bruises. If you don't like seeing this kind of stuff then I would recommend checking your facebook account instead.

Fun huh! I thought the bruising was pretty cool. We held the family triathlon the next day and in honor of the crash my Father-in-law named the race the 'Andrew Weber Memorial'. Well actually he named it the 'Andy' Weber memorial and that's not funny so I changed it.

Next post...Baby!
