We had a wonderful Conference weekend! On Friday my sister Lizzie got married to a great guy, Chuck!
I am so happy for her! She is now an insta-mom of 3 beautiful kids and she is going to be a great wife and mom!
Then, On Saturday my mom had 2 extra conference tickets to the afternoon session,
So I took my 8 year old niece. On the drive there, she told me about how her neighbors in their ward are related to Pres. Monson. So right as we got out of our car, another car drove past and a lady rolled down the window and said "Hi Saide!!" as they drove by.. Sadie looked at me and said... "THAT'S THE MONSONS!!!" And about 2 seconds after they pulled up and said, "Hey do you guys want good tickets?! We have 2 extra!" Heck yes!!!
So we got in their car, and they gave us the grand tour!!! We parked in the under ground parking under the church office building, got on a golf cart and drove under the tunnels under the temple, then under the conference building.. we saw where all the speakers get a make up/ hair check... and then entered conference through the stage.. It was so cool!
We walked past lots of general authorities, and sat on the 11th row..directly in front of the First Presidency!!!
It was awesome! We kept a tally of how many people on the stand we saw fall asleep, and dose off... It was great! :) At the end of conference Sadie looked at me and said.. "That was NOT boring!!"
So we headed back on the carts and when we pulled up we ran into Elder Holland and his wife! They were so sweet, and nice! They loved her cute dress! I also saw a few more of the 12 walking into the church office building.
Now that is the way to go to conference!!
