We DO know how to do costumes...
Andrew won 1st place in his work Halloween costume contest!
3 years in a row
See that scar on his head? Yes, it is cool, and we did it with rubber cement. We also did it on his arms, and mine (when we were practicing... You'll want to know that for later) SO... since I am a huge fan of dressing up for Halloween I went as the bride of Frankenstein to dinner with him that night. He was ALL OUT dressed up so I did my hair, and thought, hmm... since she has a scar going from ear to ear under her neck I will do the same thing... since the rubber cement looks good on Andrew, I will do it too.
I put it on.. a few minutes later it starts to tingle, then burn. So I call Andrew,".. did yours burn and tingle this bad?" He said that it kinda had so I left it on for a few more minutes.
Eventually I couldn't take it anymore so I took it off..
My neck was red and a little burnt, but I thought for sure it would go away, no biggie.
(This is the only picture we took that night, kinda hard to see..I know)
So now that you know the story you won't see me and think I attempted suicide. I promise, it's not a rope burn. And no, Andrew didn't try to strangle me :)
Although I have enjoyed peoples reactions upon seeing me at the store, or at church..

There is hope that I won't have a nasty scar forever!
So we DO know how to make Halloween last :)

Okay, your neck looks so painful! I can't believe that happened! Your dinner looks amazing-those worms looks so real! How did you make those?
Wow...that looks like one crazy Halloween! I hope your neck really is okay...it looks like it killed!
Oh...and the worms look the grossest, how did you do that?
Andrew looks great as Frankenstein, you guys really are good at Halloween. And Kennedy looks adorable!
Wow! Very impressed! Nice job on the cool food and costumes... and scars!!! At least you have a good story, right? And nobody will ever notice if you have a hickie! :)
Wow, I have never seen anyone do Halloween as well as you do. The cool part about your burn (probably the only one) is that it made your costume that much more authentic! :) Love the food! AWESOME!
Sophie-
Wow! You guys are great at dressing up and what an awesome meal- it looks like the cooking shows I watch! Those kids are cute dressed up, it made me a bit homesick to have missed it.
I didn't know you burned your neck- what a good sport you are. You never complain much about pain.

I'm glad you said hey! And I told Sharla you said HI :) She'd love to see you and your cute little girl, and bun in the oven! ;)
But oh so sorry about the burn! I'll be sure to stay clear of that stuff...yowch. But you guys looked so good!! Loved his purple blazer and your white stripe in your hair :) And the dinner looked fabulous!! I may take a couple of those ideas for next year =)
