Fathers & Sons - Girls night out

Michael (Andrew's brother) invited him and Lucas to go with them to a Fathers and Sons camp out.
Michael has an awesome job at Lofty Peaks where they do guided ATV & snowmobile tours and rentals
He brought up one of the Razors to play around with, so the 4 boys headed up a little early so they could have some fun time before the camp out began.

Of course Lucas loved everything about it.
"Sleep in a TENT!"
"camp fire.. marshmallows!"
"RAZOR... go really FAST!"

Lucas slept on one of the rides, so to keep his head from bouncing around Andrew got creative and put his goggles from his head all the way behind the seat... Hey, it worked!

The boys had a blast! Lucas talked about it for ever..
Thanks Michael for taking them!!

While the boys were camping, Kennedy and I had some way fun one-on-one girls time.
I took her to go see a movie, which she was giddy about because I don't think she had been in a movie theater since she was a few months old.
She picked the place for dinner, and then we came home and made homemade ice cream, and before her second bite, she was passed out asleep in my bed with me :)
I loved every second of it.

We started off by heading to Cherry Hill with one of Kennedy's favorite cousins, Lilly.

Then the two of us headed to dinner... at Dylan's... a first for both off us.

Then we walked down the street and went into our movie.

The next morning we woke up and headed down to Orem to go do Grandma's hair.

Kennedy and Grandma had fun, they got matching pink toenails, and she showed her how to crochet.
(My sweet mother in law broke her foot while helping Grandma Great clean her windows. So she has been off her feet for a while now.. It's so sweet to hear Kennedy and Lucas pray for her :)

Then off to visit Aunt Tiffany at the mall...
As you might guess this was probably the highlight.
Aunt Tiffany gave her a make over.

Thanks Aunt Tiffany!
In Kennedy's eyes, Aunt Tiffany has the best job ever!

Then we went and roamed the mall a bit before heading home.

It was a way fun weekend for all of us!

Playing Hard

Highlights of being a Mom.
We sometimes just get to PLAY!
sometimes.
(in-between never ending laundry and dishes)

Since spring has started to creep in, I have been just as anxious as my kids to get out of the house.
So with Andrew working late lately, we stayed out playing as LONG as we could :)
(it helps keep me sane on those days.. I don't know how you ladies do it all the time with hubbies that work late nights)

I love it, I feel like my kids can finally play at the park by themselves.. truly play. Its been fun to see my kids different stages at the parks.
I guess I am just saying....It's just a fun to watch them grow up!

We were outside ALL DAY this day. A good 7 hours, at least.
During Luke's nap time Kennedy refused to go lay down, so we went out on the drive way and talked with the neighbor while she biked, then she started laying down on her bike...
then off her bike..
then (not pictured) she laid down on the street,
that's when I picked her up, and she looked at me and said..
"I not tired Mom! I want to color..."
So she went and colored. haha
(this is us reading before bed time... my face is the color of a ripe tomato, and Kennedy got some nice pink cheeks.. and Lucas.. well he just got tan :)
  Rest and Repeat..
(I love how she wants to keep her helmet on and play :)

Rolling down the hill.. ( love how you can see Kennedy's legs in the back of Luke's head)

Then we had some bad weather.. but I was going crazy in my house, so we got out and had some fun indoors too..

We spend the day in SLC to go see my brothers displays at RootsTech.
Lucas LOVES Woody.. which is rare for any little child ;)
Whenever we talk to him or Kennedy talks about Lily, Lucas says (in a angry/yelling voice)
  "I LOVE YOU,   WOODY!"
It's adorable.
He loves all my brothers and talks about them all the time. Usually in his angry voice... but its all positive things..Its a bonus to living so close to all of them. :)

Anyway.. we have been out all day, and I hear some nappers upstairs laughing.. so I better go play some more :)
