PUMPKIN {Pum Pums} PARTIES
We had a lot of fun with pumpkins this year!
We went out for family night to find some pumpkins, and while we were driving to a patch, we noticed another place off the side of the road..
We went back and knocked on this lady's door and she gave us clippers and we went out searching.
I had never been to a patch before, it was a blast.
We got all of our pumpkins for like $7. :D It was a good find.
While Lucas took his naps,
Kennedy and I went on a pumpkin decorating spree :)
It was fun.
Then just before Halloween we decided to carve the ones I didn't get my hands on...
Our kids think pumpkins are the coolest things ever.
Kennedy drew a scary face for her pumpkin on a paper...
Then I carved it out of her pumpkin.. I think I kept it pretty accurate if you ask me. ;)
Needless to say she was thrilled..
So was Lucas :)
But apparently we went finished Kennedy's yet.. It needed to be like Lucas's.. then
It needed to be a girl pumpkin again... with a K :)
Well although I think Lucas enjoyed the pumpkin carving, I think he enjoyed eating the insides more.
I made a pumpkin smoothie. He devoured it.
They also loved eating the seeds..
Aren't they so dang cute? :)
I guess the pumpkins turned out alright too. ;)
Our Halloween Highlights!
{Kennedy is a Pig} {Lucas is a pirate} (not a mummy like you might think from his hands)
Kennedy insisted on being a pig.. We asked her like 10 times
so I made some ears and a nose,
got her in her last years outfit..
and dressed her all in pink.
(I think that last one was the whole reason she wanted to be a pig)
We went trick or treating to Andrews work, had lunch and played games.
It was way fun.
Kennedy now thinks Andrew goes to work, eats LOTS of candy, and plays on the computer..
Sounds pretty accurate to me! ;)
Then we did a little trick or treating around my brothers neighborhood.
Then had a little Halloween party with some good fun food,
and handed out cotton candy aka spider webs to the neighbor kids.
It was a hit!

Happy Halloween

Those pumpkins are so creative and cute!! I love Kennedy's!!
I am glad you explained Kennedy's pumpkin because when I saw your pictures on Facebook, I thought that Andrew was just getting lazy in his carving skills :) What a darling display! And I can't believe you got them all for $7. That Lucas shocks me every time I see a picture of him. He is changing constantly! What darling kids you have, Sophie! And I think you need to come visit Chicago, because you are so freaking skinny. We need to show you around our Chicago Restaurant Tour.
those pumpkins are sooo cute!!! you are so talented! .. your kids costumes are adorable!!! looks like you had an awesome Halloween!!;))
So many good things about this post! Yay pumpkin patches! The ones you and Kennedy decked out were fantastic. :) Abd I love the idea of having children draw the jack-o-lantern face and then you carve it...the kids are involved, and it's still safe! Your little guy's pumpkin smoothie face is ADORABLE. And "spider webs" did trick or treaters is brilliant! Looks like you had a great Halloween. :)
I loved all the pumpkins...they turned out great! Your kids are so adorable!
Kennedy's pumpkin is so cute... I love that she 'designed' her own pumpkin. I am sure you had the most fashionable pumpkins. And, you made pumpkin smoothies and roasted seeds.. How fun for your kids
