My sweet neighbor gave me a few gift cards for a free night's stay at The Armstrong Mansion, a Bed & Breakfast in Salt Lake.
Overjoyed, I took them! :D
We used ours to go on a mini getaway for his birthday. It was a first time experience for Andrew. (I had been there when I was a littler with my good friend Sharla)

It was perfect!
We stayed in the June Bride room.
I think its most commonly used for a honeymoon suite. It was beautiful!
I loved soaking in all the details!
Needless to say, Andrew and I had a good time exploring for a while. We loved the old charm the mansion brings.
The beautiful molding all over, low door ways & knobs with lots of locks, stain glass windows, and quaint layouts.

Each room is decorated differently with beautiful furniture and bedding.
Upon exploring, we got a chance to look at some of the rooms that were vacant and Andrew found his way out to the roof... rule beaker!
We had a good time selecting a movie and got some yummy fresh baked cookies!
Somehow I missed getting a good picture of the amazing giant Jacuzzi... So I stole one :)
One of my highlights was the bubble bath. Our kids would have thought they were in heaven with a tub that big full of bubbles :)
The next morning, we SLEPT IN! :)
Then while I put my make up on, Andrew read me some of the history on the Mansion and its previous owner, Francis Armstrong.
Then we headed down to this awesome breakfast buffet!
It was delicious! You name it, they had it!
While we eat, I gave Andrew his birthday presents, and we had a good chat with the sweet cook. The service was fantastic!
It was a perfect morning to start off his birthday!
It was a great place to stay! We loved how unique and romantic each room was.
We were pleasantly surprised at the combination of the history and wonderful amenities. It brings a personalized and unparalleled experience that is unmatched by any high-end hotel.

hummm how amazing is this!? I could go on and on about how I want this :) Lets just say this: I had the stomach flu on my honeymoon so it was MISERABLE. Our one year anniversary I was pregnant, our second anniversary we attended my uncle in laws funeral, and last anniversary I was yet again pregnant WITH the stomach flu :)
Love this, love you, so fun. xo
I have never been but this would be sooooooo fun. My anniversary is March 7th (5 year). What a fun surprise this could be for me and my hubby! Liked on FB! Hope I win
Very fun! I love places like this. I too take lots of pictures of the details. This would be perfect the next time we are in Utah, it'll be just before Dan's birthday and a break before his third year of school.
Thanks for sharing! Like you I would love to take my husband here for his birthday!
We love the Armstrong Mansion! It is such a romantic place. We stayed in the February suite on our wedding night. This year we will celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Would love to go back to celebrate! What a fun giveaway. Hope I win ;-)

Oh my gosh, Sophie! How'd you get to do a giveaway to such an awesome place!? I've never been anywhere "nice" in SLC. I'd love to go when we're in town. Maybe a little anniversary celebrating. Do you know if it expires? Maybe I'd give it to a family member. hmm.
I hope I win!
This is so exciting, Sophie! I would use it for me and my husband's first anniversary!! This would be delightful.
I'm always in for a little getaway! I 've actually never been to the Armstrong Mansion so I hope, I hope, I hope I win!!!!
Ahhhh! I want this so bad!! Our 5 year anniversary is this April. We stayed here on our wedding night in the June bride room. We planned very poorly and booked our flights for 6 a.m. the next morning so we had to leave for the airport at 4:30 a.m. We arrived there on our wedding night at 12:30 a.m. I would l love so badly to be able to stay here for our 5 year anniversary and enjoy this since we didn't get to on our wedding night!!
This place looks so beautiful. Todd and I just had our 22 anniversary but too many interruptions prevented a nice celebration for us. It's ok one day the children will be grown and married then we will just be us.
Have fun choosing your winner.

Comment for why I would love this:
My wife is amazing. She is incredibly patient, kind, and organized. Watching our two year old whilst being 20-something weeks pregnant is a tall order, and on top of that she also watches our niece, and works a night job online as a coder. She helps me stay on top of a college school schedule and full time work, makes amazing dinners, and is my biggest fan.
One thing I would love to give her is a break from it all. Whereas our finances have been tight and our schedule even tighter, it has been difficult to pull it off. With a baby coming in June, it will make it even harder.
This would be a great opportunity for us to get away for a night, and get a breather before diving in to new adventures this summer! Thanks for your consideration, and even if we're not selected, Andrew, "e'palante que vamos!"
